Description : Thank you for considering this antique (18th Century) bronze statue by French artist Michel-Claude Clodion. Titled "Satyre Avec Deux Enfants", the statue depicts a Satyre, perhaps the wine god Bacchus himself, in a state of play with cloven-hoofed putti. In his left hand, he holds a tamborine used as an ad-hoc fruit platter for some bunches of grapes while the putti scramble to climb onto his lap for a bite. Please feel free to send inquiries, and please examine each picture closely.
