She was a caretaker for an elderly art / antique dealer in Boston and received the painting as a thank you shortly before his passing. When attempting to get the painting authenticated I was unable too from Brame and Lorenceau in France who rejected the painting. The condition of the painting shows some cracking and edge wear and the surface is dark from many decades of surface grime. After a good clean the painting would look excellent with vibrant orange tones in the sky.The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine 19th century French painting but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
